  • “Ben is a gifted healer. I had only time for two sessions with him. My left knee had been bothering me. Ben was able to give me significant relief by working on my entire physical structure rather than just the knee. I highly recommend him. You would be hard pressed to find a more knowledgeable and kind miracle worker. He will also set you up with a set of exercises address your specific needs.”

About Me:

My journey into somatic education was born out of personal health and emotional challenges that I encountered along the way. Despite my fascination with movement arts and physical expression, I faced my own battles with physical ailments and emotional turmoil. These challenges propelled me to explore holistic approaches to healing and self-discovery. My ability to aid others in injury recovery and to improve functional movement is rooted in my training as a Feldenkrais practitioner. Feldenkrais (see New York Times article) is a method of somatic education using gentle movement awareness as a therapeutic and coaching modality that works with the nervous system’s natural intelligence to find easy and efficient movement identify resistance and clarify mind-body integration and emotional wellness. My study of neuroscience, embodied cognition, and other somatic methodologies as well as my background in martial arts and movement arts informs my approach. I have worked to help clients with severe disability gain new functions; those recovering from accidents or with chronic discomfort; and with top athletes and performers looking to refine their use of self.  I became a certified Feldenkrais practitioner in 2016 through the New York Feldenkrais Institute and derive deep satisfaction in increasing the comfort, well-being, and self-efficacy of my clients to discover themselves. I also hold a Bachelor of Science from City University of New York in Somatic Education and Performance as well as multiple certifications as a certified personal trainer from the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and in movement related fields.
